of Provigil and hopefully never needing to take it...

i finally bought Provigil today. it's for MS Fatigue. it cost $108.00 !!! i hope the entire box sits, unused, forever :-) that is my prayer to The Almighty this very second.

i never, ever, never, ever want to have another bout of Fatigue in my entire life, in which i plan to live to the nice age of 120, minimum.

MS Fatigue is just horrible. it hits the inner core of your being. it's something so incredibly incipid that makes a zombie out of of a person.

anyway... may the horribly expensive Provigil sit in my meds box until it expires.

no pool today because of painful gallbladder. food was good, but i had very small portions in meal #3. not good.

week 5, day 1

a good day, but i added 1 slice of Nina's birthday cake to my 3rd meal. couldn't not have it it's a Mitzvah to have b-d cake... even after the b-d. i had forgotten that i was going out for my monthly errands. to say that i'm exhausted is an understatement. but thank God it's not MS Fatigue :-)

good, good, good on food. WAY too much physical activity i had to take a good 2 hour nap at one point. my entire body ached, from my scalp to the soles of my feet !!!

week 4, day 5

oh Lordy.... did i have a great time at the shopping center, or WHAT ?!?!?!? i did the supermarket thing all by myself YAY !! i almost passed out at one point, but i didn't, so it was all a very good thing. then i just went from store to store, getting in some good quality time with old friends that have had shops in the center for over 10 years. it was SO wonderful talking with everyone i'm going to try to do this every few months. i also have a whole new bunch of new store owners to get to know at the new mall. all of these people are also potential clients for advertising on ourmodiin food has been great today. i *did* buy myself some Kabukim and i'm going to give myself a nice treat.

another great day !!

it really makes a huge difference when i'm feeling good, *normal* and just all-round great. i can function all day long and i get lots done. it's about time. all i need to do now is connect one good day after another, after another, etc.

i'm just waiting for December 4th, when i have an appointment with my neurologist, Alisa Taliansky. she's a *graduate* of Tel HaShomer, which has a bit different out-look on MS. it's not bad, it's just different. and since she knows that Carossis is my main neuro, she is completely blown out of the water when i want to change things around or want something new.

if i have to i'll be tough with her. i REALLY don't feel like going to Carossis just to get a prescription for Copaxone. i will kill her if she even hints that she wants me to see him first. i have more than enough shit going on in my life without having to visit Dimitri Carossis, thank you very much.

anyway, the trip to the bank today almost turned into a crime scene. the computers were still down when i got there and i had to beg, beg, beg to withdraw a mere 200 shekels. but i'm grateful that i was able to get the money, even though it was a huge pain in the ass. I HATE BANKS !!!

i'm beginning to fall asleep on the keyboard.... it IS 1:30am and i've had a long day.

OMG !!! I'M A D D I C T E D !!!

instead of working on ourmodin, and more importantly, on Mabruk Hina, i've been playing for hours and hours on Pet Society, part of the insane world of Facebook.

it's SO MUCH fun !! i have a little dog, named Cici, after my beloved dog who passed away one year ago this month :-(((

my new Cici is so much fun. she skips rope, plays basketball, goes shopping in the neighrbood, and even visits with Floofu, my friend Leah's pet.

i have got to get a grip of the whole situation. can you imagine if i just spend the entire week just playing with Cici ?? i'll be dead in the water !!!! OH NO !!!

on well, now i know where to go when i'm feeling a bit sad or depressed ;-)

it's 6:15pm and i'm SO incredibly happy with this day so far. the gym was wonderful !! food has been great... the chicken came out like nothing else i've ever made. life is grand

aaahhh.... Shabbat !!

i LOVE Shabbat. i'm not religious and it has nothing to do with the fact that Israel pretty much shuts down because of the religious link to Shabbat.

i love it so much because everything is so quiet and slow. there are barely any cars driving around Modiin all day. there aren't many people (kids) making all sorts of noise.

it's very peaceful here on Shabbat. it's wonderful !!

i'm feeling much better today. yesterday i took it every easy and even had 2 naps. i cooked a bit in the evening. i cleanded the kitchen up... still have a bit of things to do, but nothing like it was before. we just have to gather up all the dirty dishes that are strewn all around the house. all 3 of us tend to leave dishes in various areas. this MS bout seems to be calming down. at least i can actually some regular houselhold things without wanting to just hang myself afterwards. the MonSter seems to be crawling back into it's cave ;-)

i'm going to cook honey-garlic chicken for us today. YAY !! finally... getting it done :-) or..... maybe i'll have Nina make us stir-fry and i'll do the chicken tomorrow. we'll see.

i'm going to get the Provigil at the end of the month. i'm going to see Talianski asap and get back on Copaxone. i'm going to DO something about all this. i can't keep living like this.

i'm not used to having one Relapse (bout) after another and i'm just not going to put up with it anymoe.

the MS seems to be calming down

it's been a good day so far. i've felt much better, thank God.


the brain fog and Fatigue seem to be almost gone. i'm a bit tired right now, but that's most probably because i've been up since 6:30... again.


i plan on just resting the rest of the day, just to make sure that i don't over-exert myself and have a relapse.

having great difficulties....

i have become totally, utterly pathetic

i'm not progressing on the site very well. i keep saying that i'm just burnt out. but i think i'm just hitting a state of paralysis, due to my financial situation. i'm dying here. i have no idea how we're going to make it to the end of the month.
on top of all this i'm going to start a new med that costs $110 USD !! that 100 American Dollars !! it's usually what i pay for two months for all my meds !! this is going to be me, very soon, due to all the stress.

well.... enough self-pity. time to buckle down and get some work done. get a marketing campaign planned out.... ya, Bay-Bee !!!

yikes. i don't like this. not one single bit.

i can't think properly (MS Brain Fog), i'm quite tired (MS Fatigue) and i just want to yell (over-all frustration !!!)

i'm discombobulated right now and i need to rest. actually, i need a break from all these odds-and-ends that have been happening to my body in the past few weeks. maybe i'm having a major flare-up and i don't even know it.

should i go to my neurologist ? just thought of that. maybe i should. hhhmmm... not that i'm dying to go to any doctor, but maybe she'll be able to help me. who know.

once again i didn't make it to the gym. i did not feel well and i just took a nap instead. i'm thinking of going early in the morning tomorrow, just so i don't have the same thing happen, like what happened today. MS Fatigue set in at around noon and was just dead to the world by 1:30 !!

he told me get off the Baclofen because the side-effects out-weight the good-effects :-(

i've been getting having progressive Fatigue, Malaise and just a feeling of *uck*. i'm sure that it's due to the Baclofen.

no biggie. i've made it this far without it and the cramps will eventually go away.

now, i have to start working on the website with more gumption. i didn't do one thing on the site today... well, i did some silly things, but nothing really productive.

tomorrow is a new day, filled with great hopes and dreams. i'll get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling like a new adriana :-)

i must find a way to get Tomi off of me during the night !!! when he's alone with me he tortures me all night long :-( last night i must have thrown him off my feet / legs at least 20 times. this is getting old :-O

today i'll be working on the website as much as possible. i have some re-newed energies for new content, since i've thought up some new stuff. i found these cool little post-it notes in my Command Central Basket... they are the size of my forefinger. i started jotting down short notes on them and now they cover the frame of my computer screen. it's so much easier than the Word document that i had used for keeping up with things i want to include on the website.

this has been a very long week, but for some reason it's just flown by !!! i just can't figure out how the days go by like lightening.

i love fridays when Nina and Tamar take off to Tel Aviv. i live for these fridays :-) they are even taking Tomi with them, so i won't be terrorized by him while they are gone.

today i'm planning on working on the website until i just get too restless from it. i'm planning on creating my marketing campaign... a special e-mail for businessed that i have on my *prospective clients* list.

yesterday, when i went to cash my check from Aunti Paz, i went into the real estate off of a previous website client.. when m-net was up and running. i told him (Yaron) about ourmodiin and he told me to send him all the information about the site and advertising. he's such a fantastic person: always kind, nice and cheery. the people in his office are also great. i hope he jumps on the advertising wagon... i need his business ;-)

it's been a great, long day....

i just looked at the time and was shocked to see that it's not even 8pm !! i was sure it's about 10. i've been up since 6:30. i guess my days are just getting longer and longer.

i finally got Baclofen, for the muscle cramps from my waist down. it worked like a charm. i was able to workout without any cramps, without any pain :-)

the dr, not Kaufam, told me to start out slowly with the new med, to make sure that i don't have any bad side-effects. i had a great-effect !!! i got completely stoned with just one little 10mg pill :-) !!!! i felt great. Rico and Racheli had a good laugh when i told them that their mother is completely stoned.

now i'm going to go and relax for the rest of the evening. i'll watch some tv and just enjoy the end of this wonderful day.

oh yeah, drugs are a *good thing*. i got some Baclofen today and the cramps went away. i was high as a kite for a few hours and felt my body all warm and fuzzy. the pool was not my enemy today... nor will it be ever again in the future. i'm worn out though. i'm glad that i have two days of rest and relaxation.

i've been hit by a truck !!

or something similar to that.

it's from the workout today, but still...... my entire body hurts, even my eyelashes.

i had a wonderful day. it was very productive and fun. i was able to finally get money out of the bank. and even the check arrived in the mail. when i was at the bank i saw our mail-lady and i asked her where the hell is the check. she told me *check your mailbox. i just put it there*. if i didn't adore her so much i would have slapped her ;-)

i've lost 1 kilo !!! whooooo hoooooo. i can't believe it. and that's just by eating good these past 10 days. it'll be great now that i can finally combine the fitness with the nurition.

i have got to get some anti-spacicity meds from Kaufman real soon. this is really starting to get to me. the horrible cramps in my feet and legs. way too much. i got a horrible cramp in my right leg today when i was swimming. i turned to the lifeguard for some help (because i was in the middle of the damn pool) and she didn't even respond. the lady in the next lane came rushing over to me and helped me get to a place where i could stand up and ease the cramp out.

it turned out that she was Rosita Berlin, the head of Immigrant Absorption here in moddiin. i have been thinking of her so much these past few weeks. what a small world !! she was wonderful, trying to keep me calm. i was panicky because of the pain, not because of the possibilty of drowning. it hurt SOOO MUCH !!! but she saved me, God bless her soul. i talked with her for a few minutes and we agreed to be in touch about information for the website for new immigrants. God is so incredible in the way He *works things out*.

i just about passed out after coming home from the gym. first, i made myself a really great smoothie, with extra protein. i had forgotten to have it before i went to the bank/gym and i was starving by the time i got home. so i made myself a real special smoothie, to get a lot of protein for recovery. i have to start paying attention to the whole nutritional thing and timing it properly with my workout time. it will do me no good to undermine my efforts by not being careful to eat properly before going to the gym. that includes eating enough time before going, so i don't get nauseous while working out. YIKES ! i wouldn't want to suddenly throw up in the pool !

the mosquitos are out in full force again. it's been happening every evening since the rains last week. after the rains it got hot again and billions of mosquitos hatched. the city doesn't do the spraying in the fall, only in the spring-time. what a piece of crap this is going to be until the real cooler weather sets in one day.

week 2, day 4

i had a wonderful workout !! i walked 30 minutes on the treadmill, still at a very slow pace. i was able to catch the last 1/2 hour of a good movie and it kept me going. i had cramps in my legs and feet, again, when swimming. i have to get some meds for this horrible problem. tomorrow is my last day at the gym for this weeek.

ho, hum... another *same o'l, same ol' day....

i'm getting bored. really bored. just working on the website all day long, day after day, is getting to me. it'll be great getting back to the gym tomorrow.

i have to first go and vote. then i'll walk up to the bank to finally get my grubby hands on some cash. then i'll be headed to the gym for a long workout. YAY YAY YAY !!! i'm just going to take all the time in the world to do my whole workout. lots of time with the weights and as many laps i can do, without passing out. i'll take some Optalgin before i leave the house and that should keep me pain-free for at least 4 hours... plenty of time to do everything. and just in case, i'm taking some in my gym bag too.

I CAN'T WAIT !!!! i feel like a kid waiting to go to Disneyland. at least i've been eating properly. it's so easy to follow the Body for Life nutritional plan. as long as each day i have everything i need to concoct my meals, i'm right in line. feels great.

the website is progressing at a good rate. i really have to turn some time and energy to selling advertising. i desperately need the extra income. i'll be doing this in the following days. i'll take one prospective client each day as a daily project. i'll do this with about 15 businesses that i have on my list. these are businesses that advertise EVERYWHERE in the city, in all the media here in town. so i'm sure that they will jump in and give me their money. if not, there happens to be about another 500 businesses in town that i can market to.

well, it's time to get off the computer. too much these past few days. i'm burnt out with the site and really need the break tomorrow. i'm just going to do whatever i want to do all day long and try my best to not even think of the site. well, maybe i'll just take a few hours to prepare a marketing campaign for those 15 businesses i'm thinking about. we'll see how i feel after a long stint at the gym.

week 2, day 3

oh yeah !! this is the way to do it :-) i had a WONDERFUL time at the gym i even found out that i've already lost 1 whole kilo !!! what a surprise that was to me. i guess the meal plans are really working, huh? i had a bit of trouble at the end of the swimming... i got some really bad leg cramps and had to ask for help. a great woman came to my rescue, since the stupid lifeguard just didn't understand what i was yelling about. oh well, at least i didn't drown.

did NOT get a check in the mail today :-(

crap !! i really thought i would arrive in time for me to be able to cash it and make it to the gym. as it is, i wasn't paying attention to time and when i looked up, it was already too late to do anything... let alone go cash a check that i didn't get.

i've been working on ourmodiin and i'm getting tired of thinking of so many new ideas at the same time. i like the ideas that i have, but i keep detouring from the task at hand !! i've got to buckle down and do the work that i set out to do, then i can keep adding extra stuff.

thank God that Tamar has been at a friend's all afternoon. God knows how much i needed a break from her. at least she got herself together for school this morning. now all i have to to is check her follow-up sheet and make sure she was in each and every single class during the day. i'm getting too old for all this crap.

time to go rest already.

i have zero cash on me, because i couldn't cash a check from Sunny's account last thursday :-( i had to deposit the stupid check into my account and the money won't be available until monday, at some time. gggrrrrr.

i'm really hoping that the check that my Auntie Paz sent me last week will arrive today. if not... big time cash troubles.

Shabbat

oh, did i sleep well yesterday afternoon and last night. i guess i really needed it after a long week of having a bladder infection, working for hours and hours on the website, and the effects of having Sunny surprise us on thursday evening.

i'm planning on working on the website as much as possible today, but Nina is already asking for computer time. i have no idea when i'm finally going to be able to get their computer fixed. no money, no 2nd computer.

i've been spending way too much time on other sites on the internet. although they are fun, and help me too, they take my attention, time and energy away from the task at hand. i have to cut back on the play-time.

it's an absolutely beautiful day today. a bit more like our *fall*. i was so excited when it started to rain last week, but that was very short-lived :-( i'm thinking that winter will just pass us by and all of sudden it'll be summer 2009 !!

okay, time to get to work.

and here i was thinking that *yesterday* was a splendid day....

SUNNY CAME HOME TODAY !!!!!

she completely surprised most of us. Oren and Rico knew about her plans, but they didn't know that the other one knew (got that?). Racheli was left out of the loop and only found out when Oren took a detour on the way to Modiin, going to the airport instead of straight to Modiin.

i was sitting at the computer, just minding my own business, when Rico, Racheli and Oren came in the house, all saying *hi*. i was busy with whatever i was doing and just said *hi* back. then Rico said *let me give you a kiss and a hug*, so i got up and i saw SUNNY !!!

at first i thought she was an illusion. something like what i've seen on Crossing Jordan lately (Jordan has a brain tumor). and then it hit me ~~~ she's here, right in front of you !!!!

she jumped into my arms and we hugged forever. i couldn't breathe. i started to cry. my whole body was shaking. i thought i was going to have a stroke. all i could do was hold her very tight to me, thinking *she's here now and i'm going to hug her to death*. i kept asking her if she was alright ? if everything is okay ? if she's not here because she's sick or something horrible ? she kept reassuring me that everything is just fine. i thought i would have to take a Valium, or 3.

then about 1/2 hour later Nina and Tamar came home and they were in shock too. they jumped on her and they had a huge group hug that lasted forever. Rico and Racheli were looking on the whole time and had the biggest grins on their faces. i've never seen the 5 of them so happy :-)

why did she come home, you're asking ? with all the hard-ass tactics that are going on in London right now, with illegal workers, she was finding it very stressful to work. she kept thinking that any minute the immigration cops would come in and take her away, like they had done to her good friend last week.

also, the weather is really shitty in London now. last winter the weather was really mild and she didn't like the huge difference.

also, she didn't have enough money to go on to Italy, which is her next destination. she'll work here for 3-4 months and then head to Italy in the spring.

also, she missed us a lot and wanted to be home, with family and friends. it's been just a bit less than one year since she first flew off to Europe. it was time for her to be with the family and her good friends.

now she's going to be living with Oren (ha!) and she'll work in some restaurant in Tel Aviv. she'll probably have 10 job offers by Sunday. she's so talented and such a good worker, everyone wants her in their kitchen.

i'm just so grateful to God for all His Blessings !!

oh WOW !!

today has been F A B U L O U S !!! :-) i feel like a new person. lots of energy. no pain. no brain fog. bladder pills finally kicked in big time. what else could a girl ask for ??

tomorrow i'm walking up to the bank, and walking back home :-) that won't be too much for me. i'll do it in the late afternoon, when the temps are down. it'll be real good for me.

sunday can't come any faster. finally, God Willing (!!!!) i will be at Holmes Place by 3:30pm :-)

the website is going real good. i got lots done today. i even got some good suggestions for the site. i have to write a list of things to do, or else the Mad Cow will make me forget everything.

today was MUCH better

i had a pretty good day, although the bladder infection is still lingering around. what a @#$%^& this is !! i can't go to the gym, so as not to over-do it and get sicker again.

work on the site has been *iffy* lately. i've been mucking around the internet too much and not really getting new content onto the site. i guess i'm a bit burnt out by the content part, and i really needed a change.

i hope that tomorrow i feel at least as good as today. i have to go to the bank :-( . oh, how i HATE leaving the house. just hate it. but i've got to move money around, from one account to another, just so i don't get myself into any trouble.

i'm now going to check out what's going on at Facebook and Patients Like Me (i told you that i'm wasting too much time playing on the web).
