i'm very rarely on the PLM board, so i hope ypu see this here.

i most definitely take Provigil !! it's become my Miracle Med :-)

i first took it about 5 years ago, at the beginning of my MS. it was SUPER expensive, and i didn't really need it after awhile. i took it for about 3 months at the beginning.

my main nemisis with MS has been Optic Neuritis. i eventually lost all sight in my left eye. i also became Steroid Depentant, because of all the mega-doses of steroids i had to take for about 2.5 years. the ON kept coming back everytime i'd go down to about 20mg of Prednisone. what a pain in the ass that was!!

i was on Copaxone for about 2.5 years too. i stopped taking it because i'm stupid!

i was doing very well until about May of 2008, when i started to get all kinds of Relapses. first it was Vertigo, then it was Fatigue, then again Vertigo and again Fatigue, etc.

i got back on Provigil, but at the time it was super expensive (still). somehow i managed to scrape up enough money to get it for October, November & December, 2008. i would take only 1/2 pill, or 50mg... because i couldn't afford more than that.

but now, our government has included it in the *Medicine Basket* of medications that are highly subsidized by the government. instead of paying $110 per month, i now pay about $18 !!! :-)

i'm now taking 100mg every morning and loving it. it really works for me. i'm not in a Relapse or anything, but i know that Provigil is making my life a whole lot more *clear*.... i can focus better, i don't tire so easily and in general, i feel a whole lot better.

the whole MS story is a hard one to adjust to. i would suggest to you that you just take it one day at a time, and not let the whole big picture overwhelm you... because if you think about the *Whole Thing*, you'll just go crazy.

i'm no Neurologist.....

but even i can see how much the MS has progressed in that last few years !! YIKES !!

i started out, almost 6 years ago, with only 4 super tiny lesions on my brain. now i have 80+ that *i* can see. God only knows how many my neuro will be able to see, and how many there actually are there, visual and hidden.

know i know why 2008 was such a difficult MS year. those bouts that i kept having were not for nothing. lots of strange things were happening on the nerves inside my brain. the myelin sheath covering the nerves in my brain were being attacked day after day, for weeks on end... when i had the MS Fatigue and the MS Vertigo. and who knows if the constant pain in my lower back doesn't have something to do with MS too. i really should have a Spinal MRI... i'm positive that there are lesions there too.

ON A VERY, VERY GOOD NOTE : Provigil has been included in the Department of Health's *Medicine Basket* and now, instead of costing me $110, it's only $18.00 YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY !! now i can take a whole pill everyday, instead of the half-dose that i was financially restricted to. i just know that it's going to make my life even better... if that's possible :-)

God is Good !!!

Titi's Blankie is done in all kinds of crochet stitches: single crochet, double crochet and tripple crochet.

reports keep coming in from Tel Aviv about how much she just LOVES her Blankie :-)

** no walks scheduled for the whole week. i might do a bit here and there, for errands and meetings. we'll see

** lots of work on my website once i get home from the meeting -- done
** 45 minutes of physical therapy exercises -- done

i can't even begin to put into words the pain in my heart.

if i'm not busy on the computer or with yarn, all i do is cry and cry. there's only so much Clonex (valium) i can take in one day.

WE GOT THE APARTMENT !!!

i took a chance and called our new landlord right after Shabbat went out.

we had a very nice conversation and he said that we have the apartment !!! :-))

he will be mailing me the lease contract this week, and sometime during february they will be coming up to the central area of the country, and we can then sign the lease.

i cannot tell anyone in concrete words how incredibly happy and Blessed i feel right now. i am at peace and so excited about the whole new adventure.

it's going to be super tough for us, but it'll be done. i already have a stream of new clients that want to advertise on ourmodiin.co.il, so i know that we'll be able to make ends meet.

Nina and Tamar are so excited too. Rico came over last night and he couldn't shut me up. i kept telling him about every detail of the new place, and at one point he said *um... i think i'll see everything for myself when i help you move in*.... hint, hint.

now i'm working my ass off on the website, getting it ready to launch on the 1st.

what fun. so many Blessings.

we have found THE PERFECT apartment !!!

that's it.... we've found the apartment of our dreams :-)

it's my friend's almost-old apartment, right up the street from where we are now. it has 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies, a large livingroom, a good size kitchen, a nice service-room for the washer and dryer, and a GARAGE/STORAGE area !!!

it's double the rent that we pay now, but then it's also double the space. Nina and Tamar will each have their own room, like now, and i'll also have a WORK ROOM !!!!! YAY !!! i'll be able to put my computer and sewing station in there, along with a nice closet to keep all my handicrafts organized, and of course, a small tv to keep me company during my working hours.

the livingroom is large enough to be able to finally have a table and chairs, something that we just could never fit in here in this smaller place. the kitchen itself is a bit larger than the one we have now, and set up much better :-) the laundryroom is right off the kitchen, instead off of one of the bathrooms, like it is here.

there is CENTAL AIRCONDITIONING !!!! we won't melt away anymore in the summers. it's going to be so wonderful with the a/c.

and the balconies are wonderful. one is off the livingroom, which has nice big sliding glass doors. the other one is off Nina's bedroom, small, but large enough for a little table and some chairs.

Nina's bedroom has an en-suite with a shower, toilet and sink. the other bathroom is large, with a huge bathtub and shower and a very nice built-in cabinet under the sink.

the building has 10 units, and has an elevator right next to the apartment. there are only 4 steps leading in from the portico to the lobby of the building and then straight into the elevator. for me it's pure heaven.

and the one other incredible part of the whole thing is the GARAGE !! it has an automatic electric door and is the size of about 1/2 of the apartment. there are lots of sheleves up already, which will be really handy for us. but the best thing is that it's on the street level, accessable from the street, and Nina and Tamar can turn it into a place to call their very own.... a complete hang out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are SO HAPPY. words don't even begin to describe how happy we are. all we need now is for the landlord to agree, which doesn't seem to be a problem. i already spoke with the wife and she said *okay* right away. but she did say that she will have to speak with her husband and let us know at the beginning of the week.

since things don't happen without a very good reason, the 3 of feel that God is leading us to this apartment. it's just that way. no doubt about it. we'll have to stretch ourwelves to be able to pay the rent, but with my work on ourmodiin and the handicrafts, Nina and Tamar's contributions, we'll make it, and we'll make it just fine. God has always been very good to us, so we have no doubt whatsoever.

and the very, very best things about the apartment is that it's still very centrally located, even closer to the Modiin Center, where Nina works and where we do most of our *business*, like the supermarket, the bank, etc. and we are still only up the street from the larger new mall :-)

i CAN'T WAIT to talk to the landlords tomorrow.

week 5, day 7 -- saturday, jan 24th

the VERY BEST day ever !! we got the apartment and life is more wonderful than ever !!!

meal #3 -- a variety of food that we got from my friend, including fish balls, cooked wheat (turns out like really delicious brown rice, even better), dumpings, and something else that i can't think of now.

** 1st walk, i have no idea where i'll be headed to. i want to take some pictures in the morning. hopefully the weather will be nice enough for both the walk and photography. -- nope. i had forgotten that i just wanted to rest the whole day.

** no 2nd walk scheduled

activites for the day:

** lots of work on my website in the morning and early afternoon
-- nope. i had forgotten that i just wanted to rest the whole day.
** 45 minutes of physical therapy exercises
-- nope. just rested all day.

meal #1 -- 2 sandwiches made with whole wheat bread, humus spread, dijon mustard spread, 1 slice cheese, 1 banana, 1 super large coffee.

meal #3 -- a variety of food that we got from my friend, including fish balls, cooked wheat (turns out like really delicious brown rice, even better), dumpings, and something else that i can't think of now.

meal #4 -- smoothie

walk(s) for the day:

** 1st walk, will be done by going up to the closes shopping center, doing one lap around the park behind it and then coming back home. - done, but instead of the extra lap around the park, i went into several stores and did alot of walking that way.

** no 2nd walk scheduled

** 45 minutes of physical therapy exercises -- done
** knit as much as possible in the late afternoon/all evening -- done

walk(s) for the day:

** 1st walk, will do this at about 11am, after a business meeting. it should be at least a 90 minute walk home -- done and it was 2 hours of walking in the end.

** work on ourmodiin -- a bit was done.

** go to the new Modiin business networking meeting in the morning... should be interesting, or at least i hope so. -- done. it was Great !!

meal #4 -- 2 roasted chicken legs, 1 cup whole wheat pasta with simple homemade tomato sauce, very small garden salad

** 1st walk, will do this at about 7am, before it gets hot. -- done

** possible 2nd walk, will be done via our street up to City Hall and back. -- 30 minutes done. didn't get as far as i wanted.

meal #3 -- roasted chicken and veggies. 1 cup brown rice. very small garden salad.

meal #4 -- smoothie

walk(s) for the day:

** only 1 walk today... in the evening. 1 hour going down our street to the mall and back up home. -- did 90 minutes

activites for the day:

** finish client's website finally. -- DONE !! phew :-)))
** knit as long as possible. -- done
** 20 minutes of physical therapy. -- done

meal #3 -- 2 honey-garlic roasted chicken legs, 1/2 cup roasted potatoes, small garden salad

** 1st walk, up to the shopping center and one lap around the park. i'll take my camera with me. -- done at 6am !!

** possible 2nd walk, will be done heading down our street to the mall. i'll be taking the camera with me in the early evening, catching some pics of the wonderful views. -- nope. i was too tired.

activites for the day:

** work on my client's website. -- a bit.
** work on my website for a few hours -- nope
** knit for a long time -- yes ! doggie blanket all done :-)
** 20 minutes of physical therapy -- yep... even 30 minutes.

what FUN !!! being in Tel Aviv was fantastic :-)))

walk(s) for the day:

** i have no idea, but i do know that i'll be walking alot during the day. i'll report after the walk(s). -- tons of walking in Tel Aviv

activites for the day:

** drs appointment to schedule the gallbladder surgery, in Jerusalem -- didn't make it to Jerusalem because i woke up really tired.
** do ECCO, in Tel Aviv - -- done. i got a clean bill of health for my nice heart.
** visit with Rico, Racheli and Sunny -- YAY !! too much fun.
** start Nina's afghan -- sure did.

a great day, especially since i got to talk to 3 of my brothers !!!

** only one long 90 minute walk will be done today. i will be walking home from physical therapy. -- done

** drs appointment for blood tests and EKG -- done
** starting physical therapy session with therapist -- done

** work on my client's website. -- yeah, right :-(
** finish up the baby blanket -- ALL DONE !!!!

meal #2 -- tuna sandwich with cucumber slices on lite whole wheat bread, 6oz strawberry yogurt drink

meal #3 -- smoothie: 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 pear, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 scoop protein powder

meal #4 -- another tuna sandwich meal... yummers.

walk(s) for the day:

** only one long 2 hour walk will be done today. i still haven't decided in which direction i'll go. -- done..... phew.

activites for the day:

** work on my client's website. last day to get it done !! partly finished.
** knit as much as possible. -- almost done with the baby blanket

** 1st walk, go up to the local shopping center, do one lap around it and come home. -- already done at 6am, in wonderfully chilly weather.

** possible 2nd walk, will be done by going down our street to the mall and back up home. - nope

** work on my website -- i did a bit of work on it.
** work on my client's website. get it done already !! -- nope
